Where tension does exist, such as a customer preference for minimal packaging conflicting with the cushioning a fragile product genuinely needs for international transit, it's worth being transparent about the tradeoff rather than under-packaging a shipment to meet a sustainability target and risking damage that ultimately generates more waste through a replacement shipment.
